Welcome to The KeyChurch Website!

I am Pastor Jacquie Babb.  I am the senior pastor of Keystone Church and Ministries.  I work along with my husband, Perry Babb, to bring the life and reality of the relationship with Jesus Christ into every day life.  We are very practical in our approach to the Gospel.   We believe that the principles of the Kingdom of God are as relevant as they were in biblical times and they come alive when applied today. The Bible is like an ‘owner’s manual’ that helps people navigate through life toward  their fullest potential.  It promotes healthy mindsets and gives answers to problems that we all encounter during our lifetime.

Join us every Sunday morning on location or streaming on this website at 10am.

Church office hours are 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday thru Friday.

Loving God and Loving People Makes a Difference

Aug. 1, 2011 By M.G. - MHS, PA-C

I have an amazing job!  I am a physician assistant (PA) at a family practice in Huntingdon.  I get one-on-one time with patients who are sick and hurting every day.  I only work 2-3 days a week, so my schedule allows me to stay in my field and still be with my kids, and more importantly, my boss has given me complete freedom to pray for my patients and minister to them in whatever way I think is appropriate.  I often pray for my patients on my way to work and also look for the right opportunities to pray for them directly.  The story below happened this summer and demonstrates that what you do today can make a difference in the lives' of people you may never know.

On my way to work one day, I started praying for an open door for God's presence to impact my patients that day.  I had a lady on my schedule whom I had seen only one other time.

New Creation in Christ

July 25, 2011 By T.B.  - A Teacher

2 Cor. 5:17 – “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come”

Three years ago, my life was a disaster. I was headed down a path of destruction: lying, partying, bad relationships, and depression looked me right in the face. My life took a complete 180 degree turn because God made me a completely new creation.

I grew up going to church. However, I never had an intimate relationship with God. Over the years, I began drifting further and further away from God. My life began to spiral out of control.

I had been in a serious long-term relationship with a guy in my second year of college. Our friends began to slowly change and the group we hung out with were heavily  into the partying scene, drinking and drugs. It began as a casual activity, but developed into a lifestyle fairly quickly.

Covenant Makes a Way

July 18, 2011 By Pastor Jacque Babb

Grace and mercy are such a beautiful and powerful proposition. Together they make a place for us to reach our greatest potential.  Failure is not an option when you live in a culture of grace and mercy.  Either one of them is amazing but together they bring peace of mind in any situation.  There is no room for condemnation.
-the free unmerited love and favor of God, the spring and source of all the benefits men receive from him.
-The exercise of love, kindness, mercy, favor; disposition to benefit or serve another; favor bestowed or privilege conferred.

In the Old Testament grace had to be "found" or "granted".
Ex. 33:13 Now therefore, I pray, if I have found grace in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You and that I may find grace in Your sight. And consider that this nation is Your people."

God Goes Ahead of You

July 11, 2011 By J.V. -  A Teacher

Deuteronomy 31:8 “The LORD is the one who goes ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”

Have you ever felt God calling you somewhere or to something, but you just can’t wrap your mind around how it will ever work? It seems so hard to take that step of faith?

This was me a couple of years ago, I didn’t know how God would come through in my life and it seemed that all the odds were stacked up against me. I was in a major crossroad in my life both personally and spiritually. I knew that I was called to Tyrone so I applied for teaching positions in the area. Every door closed. Every interview went sour and here I was in the summer of 2009, knowing I was called to Tyrone, but no means of income to support myself to live there. If you know me, the way I operate is strictly by numbers (Go figure I am a math teacher).

God Will Surprise!

July 5th, 2011 by J.D. - A Teacher & Mother

I still remember the day I got saved. I was in my therapist’s office earlier that day. I had been going there for a few years. It started out as marriage counseling but at this point in my life my ex-husband had already walked out on therapy and I was going alone. I had repaired a lot in me at this point and my life was getting better, even though I was in the midst of separation, heading for divorce.

My therapist talked to me that day about my empty spaces. What did I have at the end of the day when I wasn’t working and going 100 miles per hour raising two kids and taking care of a house on my own? When it came down to just me, being still, what did I have?

My therapist is a Christian and up until now she had never been so bold about Christ as she was this day. She simply said to me, “you need Jesus.”

Thank You, Jesus, for What You Have Done!

June 13, 2011 by P. Y. - A covenant member of Keystone Church & Teacher

I grew up attending the Catholic Church which was our family custom but did not really walk with God.  My older sister met a woman who invited her to a spirit-filled home fellowship group where she learned about having a personal relationship with Jesus. She would come home and tell me things that she had learned. When I was 16 years old, I went to visit my sister in college at Virginia Tech. It was there that I prayed with my sister to make Jesus Lord and Savior of my life.  It wasn’t until two years later that my real growth in the Lord began. I also attended Virginia Tech and got involved with a spirit-filled church there called Dayspring. I stayed in this fellowship for my four years in college learning and growing in my walk with Jesus.
