What is 2012?
Dec. 31, 2011 by Bishop Bart Pierce Rock City Church Baltimore, MD
Transition is the death of the past, so you can embrace something new. You get to bury something. We transition from something to something.
We are facing the threshold of something.
- What is 2012?
- 2012 is probably one of the most important times we as Christians have had in the last 25-30 years. The Hebrew calendar for 2012 has so much to do with where we are going. 2012 has a great significance.
- 2012 means the fullness or the completion of something.
When you transition from something, you go into something.
It's like a pregnancy. You go through the pregnancy but the desire is that you might deliver the child...in 2012. You have to go through the process. Looking back, it looks better when you look forward.
Now our security must be firmly fastened in 2012 in God. You need to be fastened this year, fastened firmly. And the main scripture that we shared, came from the book of Hebrews chapter 12:26-28. "Yet once more I will shake not only the earth but I will also shake the heaven." How many of you know the Lord, already shook the earth, He shook the earth, and He says I will shake the earth. He already shook heaven. When He threw Lucifer out, when He threw Satan out of heaven, with all the fallen angels, it shook heaven as its authority, and as a place of government, heaven was shook.

The number 12 is the number for government and rulership.
We have already seen since early December, we have seen a movement toward government change and rulership change. There has never been in my lifetime so many nations changing governments.

months in the calendar
Israel has a calendar that has 12 months, except they've added a partial 13 month because they have shorter days in each month, however, their calendar is based on the number 12.
This is a significant time for us to really lay hold of what God want to do.
I spoke
this word to the church in early December and this word is a significant word
for our day. The key verse is Isaiah 22:23 which says, "I will fasten him
as a peg in a secure place." How many of you know the Lord is speaking
here and God is saying that he will take this individual and he would take
Israel and secure them, as a peg is driven in, and secure them in a secure
place.
And I tell you saints there's never been a day where I find in my life for being a Christian for almost 40 years now that I find how important it is everyday to belong to the body of Christ. To be a member of the body of Christ, to be in a local church where I know that I have a secure place. That's so important today.
Secure means to be put beyond the hazards of losing. When you get to be put in a secure place, you're put behind or beyond, you're out of the reach of the hazards of losing. In other words you can't lose. It means to bring something to a place of hope, or safety, to be fastened, planted and established. How many of you believe that God wants to fasten you, and plant you, and establish you in His Kingdom, and in His purposes for 2012?
You see some have been drifting, and some have been untied from the dock and your boats drifting along; and the winds of adversity will catch you and blow you out and away from the plan and purpose of God. How many times have I met with people and come to know people that I fell in love with them. And I saw the growth of God in their life and I saw them serving God only to watch them as although a rope has been untied and their boat slipped away from the dock and got out of sight. And the next thing you know they aren't anywhere around. And that's because they weren't attached, they weren't fastened, or they weren't planted and they weren't established.
How
many of you know that God is trying to tell us here, that He will fasten us as
a peg in a secure place. And with the storms of life that are in front of the
church we're going to need to be fastened.
When we secure something we have removed it from the exposure of danger, that's what that word means, and secure also means to have a feeling of trust and confidence. God longs to fasten us in a secure place, how many you know it's the desire of the Father to put you in a secure place. We have a home for girls and we call it the Hiding Place, and the reason we call it that, it's that they're hidden from the attacks of the enemy or from the former things in their life that they actually have a period of time where they are hidden in the secret place.
How many of you know that God has a place to hide each of us if you were in the life of prayer, you will find that God would put you in a place where you can hide and no devil, no enemy can find you. How many know that's a good place to be.
Welcome to the Keychurch website!
I am Pastor Jacque Babb. I am the senior pastor of Keystone Church and Ministries and work along with my husband, Perry Babb to bring the life and relativity of a relationship with Jesus Christ into every day life. We are very practical in our approach to the Gospel. We believe that the principles of the Kingdom of God are as living and active as they were in biblical times and that they truly come alive when applied today. The bible is like an owner's manual that helps people navigator through life to stay healthy and gives answers to problems that we will encounter during our lifetime.
