No Title - Covenant Membership

    untitled

    Keystone Church & Ministries, Inc
MEMBER COVENANT

I. Covenant Defined:
A pledge or promise between human parties before God to do something together based on common agreement.

II. Foundation of this Covenant:
The foundation on which this covenant is built is none other than Jesus Christ.

This foundation is laid in each individual's life by commitment to Christ as Savior and Lord. (I Cor. 3:11)

III. Building on that Foundation:
These below specific attitudes make up our covenant relationship and will naturally lead to a variety of acts and ministries.

A. Love one another... Put on love, the perfect bond of unity...I.Cor.13-type of love....Col. 3:14

B. Serve one another..... Humble yourself & put others first...Phil. 2:3, I.Cor.10:23-24

C. Forgive one another.... quickly release others, not holding offense. Luke 11:4, Col. 3:13

D. Be reconciled to one another.... as far as it depends upon you be at peace with all men. Roman 12:14, Matt 5:23-24

E. Speak well on one another.....control our tongues, no gossip or Speech that tears down/wounds. Rom.12:14, James 3:9, Eph. 4:29

F. Encourage/exhort one another to growth and maturity, especially through the practice of our 7 Basic Spiritual Disciplines Heb.10:24-25, II Tim.1:7

G. Be open to one another & to the Holy Spirit. Lk.11:9-13, Mk 10:14-16

H. Be accountable to one another... Give and receive correction within Biblical parameters. Gal.6:1, Matt. 18:15-17

I. Support one another and the whole Church with/by prayer, tithes, offerings & service. Eph. 6:18, IICor.8:3-5, II.Cor.9:7, Gal. 6:2.

IV. Purpose of this Covenant Relationship:
>>That as individuals and as a local church we might be conformed to the image of Jesus Christ in character and ministry. Ro.8:29, Eph. 5:25-27

>>That the full commission of Jesus Christ to His Church might be carried out in Central Pennsylvania and to the uttermost parts of the world. Mark 16:15-29, Matt. 10:7-8

>>That all we do in word or deed would bring honor and glory to Jesus Christ and Him alone. Col.3:17, I. Peter 4:11

VI. Covenant Membership Process
Step #1. Receive detailed training on KeyChurch's vision, structure, strategy and Covenant by attending a "KeyChurch Orientation'. Orientation is offered once per quarter or as needed.

Step #2. Understand and commit to KeyChurch's 'Member Covenant'.

Step #3. Complete a 'Covenant Membership' application and secure a recommendation/signature from a KeyChurch Pastor, Ministry or Cell Leader.

Step #4. Make a public Covenant commitment and be received into Membership during a 'Covenant Sunday'. (Last Sunday of each month.)

PLEASE RETURN APPLICATION TO A PASTOR, CELL LEADER OR AT A SUNDAY SERVICE, TO THE INFO TABLE OR INTO THE OFFERING BASKET. THANK YOU.

7 Basic Spiritual Disciplines - 7 Disciplines

Jesus Christ tells us... "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,20* "teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you (MATTHEW 28:19-20)

 	'What is a Disciple?'

A Disciple is a Christian, who can feed himself and others 'Spiritually'.
A Disciple learns to feed him/herself and others 'Spiritual Food'.
A Disciple helps others become Disciples, able to feed themselves and others.

God will help you to become a Disciple and to make other Disciples through the practice of 7 Basic Spiritual Disciplines.
#1. Journaling
#2. Meditation & Confession
#3. Bible Study & Teaching
#4. Prayer, Fasting & Forgiving
#5. Giving & Receiving
#6. Personal Ministry
#7. Resting

    A Spiritual Discipline.......
is a skill that enables you to hear God and be used by God.
is a habit that puts you in a place to consistently hear God and be used by God.

It takes Discipline to be a Disciple and make Disciples.

How to Get Started? - 7 Disciplines

#1. Review the contents of your '7 Spiritual Disciplines'. We call this book a Journal. There are 7 sections corresponding to the 7 Basic Spiritual Disciplines. Each section divider has an explanation of that Discipline.

#2. In section 1, begin Journaling. Some examples of journaling>> writing down what God is saying to you...
what you are wondering about....questions you are having... thoughts you have and what God is saying to you. Record what you are learning or what is happening to you.

#3. Purchase a Bible. There are many different translations and types of Bibles. They are all very similar, but a good one to start with is the 'New King James Version'.
The Bible is divided into 'books' listed in the table of contents. Find the page number for and begin to read the book called 'Proverbs'. Take your time reading. Write down what you are learning in section 3 of your Journal, called, 'Bible Study & Teaching'. Is there someone you can tell what you are learning? When you finish the book of Proverbs, find and read Luke...then, Acts.

#4. Find Psalms 119:11 in your Bible. Again, use the table of contents to help you. Meditate on and memorize this verse. Think on it, chew on it....say it out loud. Record the verse and insights you get in Section 2 of your Journal, called, ''Meditation & Confession'.

#5. Take notes while listening to others teach about the things of God and the Bible. Record these in Section 3. Always bring your Journal to Church meetings, worship services, or times with Christian friends.

#6. Begin to record your prayers in section 4 of your Journal, Prayer, Fasting & Forgiving. Write down what you are asking God for. Soon you will have many answered prayers to record in this section. Record how and when God answers
  your prayers.

#7. Begin to develop your Personal Ministry.....is there someone you can help or serve in some way?...someone you could talk with who needs God...your spouse/family member? ...a friend? Is there someone you could tell how to be a disciple...able to feed self and others...teach how to practice 7 Disciplines?

Write down your plans. Purchase a copy of ''Disciplemaking Toolbox'. The tools in this 'Toolbox' will help you be a Disciple and make Disciples.

#8. Begin your day with God. Arrange your schedule to be able to spend 20 to 30 minutes of quiet, undisturbed time in your Journal. (You may have to begin going to bed a bit earlier. Everyone needs 7 to 8 hours of sleep.) You will not work in each discipline every day. You will learn to follow the leading of God. Work in a section or two each day. Over a typical week, you will have worked in all 7 disciplines.

#9. Get into or form a 'KeyGroup'. A KeyGroup is a regular meeting of 2 or more Christians for friendship and accountability. You can't be or make Disciples if not Disciplined. It is easier to be disciplined with the encouragement and accountability of a friend(s).

#10. Over time, you will fill all the blank sheets of your 7 Disciplines Journal. Purchase a new 7 Disciplines Journal or a blank notebook and set up your own. It is normal to customize your Journal as you grow in God. You may add sections. You may change the style or adjust the set up.

Put your old Journal aside in a safe, accessible place. You will likely go back and refer to your old Journal. As the years go by, these Journals will become very special to you. They will be a record of your walk with God.

1) Spirit of poverty be broken.
2) Tyrone would wake up from slumber and hear the word of the Lord, recognizing that God provides!
3) Prosperity would come to families and businesses. Also new businesses would come.
4) Realization of destinies and realizing who we are.
5) There would be a release of angels to Tyrone to guard and war for this with us.

Pray for our Key Centre on our Land
LAND ------DEBT FREE, TABERNACLE, SHIRLEY HEIGHTS, HOTEL

DESIGN---CLARITY, PARTNERS
TIMING--ON GOD'S TIME LINE
VISION----Josh. 1:7 Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.

Neh. 2:18 And I told them of the hand of my God which had been good upon me, and also of the king's words that he had spoken to me.
So they said, "Let us rise up and build." Then they set their hands to this good work.

Neh. 2:19 But when Sanballat the Horonite, Tobiah the Ammonite official, and Geshem the Arab heard of it, they laughed at us and despised us, and said, "What is this thing that you are doing? Will you rebel against the king?"

Neh. 2:20 So I answered them, and said to them, "The God of heaven Himself will prosper us; therefore we His servants will arise and build, but you have no heritage or right or memorial in Jerusalem."

FAVOR

There are 2 categories of Ministry in KeyChurch:

Personal Ministry.... is the initiation of relationships and acts of service for the purpose of making Disciples of Christ. This is 'Your Ministry' to people; you hearing God/seeing a need, making a plan and doing it. Personal Ministry is for the development of a person(s).

Go to 7 Disciplines for information and training in Personal Ministry

Public Ministry.... is the accomplishment of ministry tasks. This is goal-setting, planning, execution, supervision and evaluation to meet a specific ministry need. Public Ministry is usually carried out by a team.

Personal Ministry and Public Ministry often overlap.

You can't be or make Disciples if not Disciplined!!

It is very difficult to be disciplined without regular accountability & encouragement.
Your KeyGroup partner(s) provide the encouragement you will need.
================

Accountability Questions...
Use these in your KeyGroup for accountability & encouragement.
This week....

1. Have you kept your journal this week? Have you spent some time in all 7 Basic Spiritual Disciplines?

2. Have you worked in your personal disciple making ministry?

3. Is there anyone you have offended or who has offended you whom you have not sought to be in harmony with?

4. Sexual purity? Have you been exposed to or thought about sexually explicit material?...allowed self to indulge in sexual/romantic fantasies? ...been with a woman/man anywhere that might be seen as inappropriate?

5. Have you shown love/spent time with your spouse /family?..been real with, wholesome speech to, healthy intimacy with spouse?

6. Have your insecurities affected your behavior? ..competing, debating, defensiveness, slander, 'fear of man', trying to be something you are not?

7. Are your finances in order; tithes & offerings, debt, taxes, integrity?

8. Truthful? Do you keep your word,... show up on time? exaggerate? Have you been honest about these questions?

Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. (James 5:16).

Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. (Gal. 6:1)

Why Water Baptism - Baptism: Why & How?

Matt. 27: 18* And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
19* "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Go...make disciples...then go baptize those disciples.

Repent & be Baptized

Introduction:
a)	Review 'How to know God'
Matthew 28:19-20
b)	After hearing the Gospel of Jesus, and being 'pierced-cut to the heart'....what to do?
  '.........repent, be baptized.........' Acts 2:37-39

What To Do:
I. Repent
a. Two go together
b. Definition: Repent = to change ones mind & purpose, change of direction, to turn back.
'...repent and turn to God...'Acts 26:20

Repentance is turning. Baptism is the first step in turning and following Jesus

II. Be Baptized
Literal Definition: baptism is 'to immerse, to dip'
Why be Baptized? To be a Disciple.
1. Jesus told His Disciples, 'follow me..' Matthew 4:19 & 9:9
2. Jesus was baptized to set the pattern as in Matthew 3:14-15. We are to follow.
3. Jesus final command...Disciples are to be Baptized (Matthew 28:19)

III. What Happens in Baptism?
a. Sins are forgiven & washed away 'for forgiveness of your sins.' Acts 2:38
'...were Baptized confessing their sins..' Matthew 3:6
'I indeed Baptize you for repentance,' Matthew 3:11

Can you picture being immersed, dipped in water, and coming up clean, fresh?
Baptism is a picture of what happens in repentance.

b. Ends Old - Begins New
1. Old Man died and buried with Christ –
New Man raised with Christ...Romans.6:3-4
2. Death of Old Man, habits, attitudes...Romans. 6:11
3. Putting on New Man, clothed with Christ... Galatians 3:27

Can you picture being like Christ who died, was buried and rose to new life? We die to our old life, are buried in the water of baptism and rise to new life.

c. Breaks Power of Sin......Romans. 6:5-7
1. no longer slave to sin
2. no longer predisposed to sin
3. dead to sin...can't tempt a dead man

d. Breaks Power of Death......Romans.6:8-9
Can you picture Christ who died for our sin? Death could not hold Him. He arose victorious over sin and death.

IV. Baptism Precedent
a. When? After they heard, believed & repented.
Acts 2:41, 8:12, 8:38, 9:18, 16:15, 18:8, 19:5
b. How were they Baptized? Completely 'buried' under water. Matthew. 3:16
c. Were babies Baptized? Nowhere in the Bible. They cannot hear, believe & repent.

V. Barriers to Being Properly Baptized
a. Lack of Knowledge.......'didn't know' ...Acts19:1-5
b. Wrong Teaching:
Baptism is ceremonial only.
Baptism is for joining a local church.
Baptism is for infants.
c. Pride, unwillingness to submit to God's way. II Kings 5:9-14
d. Lack of Genuine Repentance......Matthew. 3:5-8

  "Look! Water!
What prevents me from being baptized?"

Now as they went down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch said, "See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?" Acts 8:36

THE ANSWER IS TO ALL THE QUESTIONS BELOW IS YES!!
1. I have heard the good news of Jesus, my heart has been pierced...should I be Baptized?
2. I have turned to God, should I now be baptized
3. I am tired of being a slave to sin, old habits, fear, lies...should I be baptized?
4. I want a fresh start, a clean start a new life, should I be baptized?
5. I want to 'bury' the past and begin new, should I be baptized?
6. I want to follow Jesus, should I be baptized?
7. I was baptized as an baby, but now I understand and believe, should I be baptized?
8. I have been going to church for years, but was never baptized, do I have to be baptized?
9. I was baptized earlier in life but thought it was just a ceremony, should I be baptized?
10. I want to be a Disciple of Jesus, but have not followed Him into baptism, should I be baptized?

'Draw near to God and He will draw near to you', Ja 4:8 - How to know God?

How to Know God?
In a recent survey, it was discovered that most people believe in God (a divine supernatural being). However, it was also found that most people's knowledge of God/belief in God did not play a significant role in their everyday life. WHY IS THIS?

The Bible teaches that God desires to be very involved in our lives. He wants us to know Him, not just know about Him. In fact, His offer is for a personal, intimate growing relationship with each person.

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you...James 4:8

I. Why is it that most people do not have a relationship with God that affects their daily life?
The Bible teaches that there is a separation between God and man. The relationship which God desires with man is broken. Man is not able to relate to God.

The Bible speaks of man as being three parts:
Body: which relates to the physical realm, including the five senses
Soul: which relates to the mental realm: emotions, memories and the will
Spirit: which relates to the spiritual realm: the supernatural and the connection point with God

Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
I Thessalonians 5:23

A man who has a relationship with God...
COMPLETE/WHOLE

A man who does not have a relationship with God...
SPIRITUALLY EMPTY/ DEAD

"God is Spirit..." John 4:24

"He who joins himself with the Lord is one Spirit with Him."
I Corinthians 6:17Characteristics of relationship with God...

Characteristics of the life with a relationship with God...
PEACE, PURPOSE, JOY, LOVE, SECURITY, HOPE, STRENGTH, WISDOM, FULFILLMENT, INTEGRITY, HONOR

Characteristics of the life without a relationship with God...
ANGER, FRUSTRATION, INSECURITY, FEAR, LONELINESS, HATE, UNHAPPINESS, BITTERNESS, CONFUSION, BOREDOM, JEALOUSY

Can you imagine what an intimate spiritual relationship with God would be like? How would that contact, communion, communication effect your everyday life?

The obvious next question might be WHY? Why is there a separation? What has caused this broken relationship? Why is there a "Spiritual Deadness" toward God?

II. What causes the broken relationship?
There is a barrier which causes the separation.
The barrier is our sin.

Definition: Sin is any action or word that communicates to God...

"I don't need you God! I'll do what I want to God!"

Do you ever say or do this?

The Bible says..."all have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God."

Imagine saying to a boy or girlfriend...or spouse...
"I don't need you! I'II do what I want to!"

Would this cause a problem? The result would likely be a "broken relationship".

"...for the wages of sin is death." Romans 6:23

The result of our sin is death. This death is a "deadness" toward God; a separation from God, a broken relationship. Our sin, "I don't need you God", has caused the problem. Our sin is the barrier between us and God.

III. What is the solution? What can restore this broken relationship?
MAN'S SOLUTION:
A. I will not sin anymore!
(is this possible?)
B. I'll be very religious and do good deeds! But, can I be perfect? What about my past sin?

Man's solutions fall short.
The barrier is not removed!

GOD'S SOLUTION:
Since the Bible says, "...the wages of sin is death", the payment due for sin is death, then someone has to make the payment.
God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses (sin) against them. II Corinthians 5:19
But God demonstrates His own love for us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

Remember that you were at that time separate from Christ...having no hope, without God in the world. Ephesians 2:12

This is God reaching down to man and giving His own SON to pay the price for our sin.

"...But now you who 'formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ".

Christ has made peace between us and God by taking on our sin and suffering the death that we deserved, The debt we owed is paid. The barrier is torn down.

IV. God's Offer
God has made provision for us to have a growing, intimate, personal relationship with Him. Do you have that kind of relationship with God? Would you like to? Only you can answer these questions.

What to do? Realize and admit to God that you are a sinner; that there is a barrier between you and Him. Pray, talk to God. Realize and admit to God that Christ's payment for your sin is the only way that barrier can be removed...Tell God, "I need You, forgive me, and I will do what You want."

If you need help with this, go to a Christian friend and ask them to pray with you. Stop living your life without God. Be baptized and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Men and brethren, what shall we do?" Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:37-38

The Holy Spirit joins with your spirit and makes you spiritually alive.

I. KeyChurch School
>>>Keystone = The Model
 					>>>Church & Ministries = The Scope & Make up
 					>>>School ....of The Word, by The Spirit, for Ministry

School of The Word>> The Word of God is the Subject

"All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work." I Timothy 3:16-17

School of The Spirit>> Holy Spirit is Teacher

"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you." John 14:26

School of Ministry>> The Outcome/The Result of Equipping

"And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ," Eph. 4:11-12

II. Equipping Goals:
 				Lay foundations
 				Develop skills
 				Produce character ......in the student

III. Equipping Strategy:
True Bible education is revelation not information. Revelation is God revealing, not man concluding. Revelation is connecting to God, The Word of God coming into contact with a person.
This connection makes the Revelation life changing, powerful, a part of the person, and thus easily retained and recalled. Revelation is practical, applicable, relevant, and 'communicate-able'.
Revelation is not just information, the facts, data, ideas, opinions and conclusions, all of which, may be good, but none of which is alive in it's self. The goal is not the knowing of information in a book, the Bible, but knowing God. Knowing God comes only by revelation.

True Bible students get revelation from God. They can hear God. They know God and what God says and is saying. These students know The Word, the person, the living Word. These are the 'serious' students of the Word. They connect to God and feed themselves on His Word.

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God." John 1:1-2a

The Word of God is a person, not a dusty manuscript or ink on a page. The Word is alive.

"For the Word of God is living and powerful..." Hebrews 4:12a

The Word is known as a person is known through relationship, interaction, and conversation. The Word of God, a man to be loved not a book to be studied.

The Holy Spirit is the Bible Teacher. He reveals the Word. His is the School of The Spirit. He is not the topic of study, but the instructor in every class. He leads into all truth. Man learns to work with Him, to receive revelation through Him. He helps the man come to feed himself on the Word. Holy Spirit teaches the man and ..... He will teach you.

"However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come." John 16:13

There is 'wisdom in a multitude of counselors' and Holy Spirit will certainly speak to you through other men, but ultimately you must learn to be noble minded and search the Scriptures for yourself and with Holy Spirit as Teacher, feed yourself from God's Word.

"These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so. " Ac 17:11

God will teach you and teach you to feed yourself. You will teach others and teach them to feed themselves. This is the basic characteristic of a Disciple and the overarching goal of this school, that you become a Disciple and Disciplemaker.

IV. Equipping for Disciplemaking: All equipping is ultimately for making Disciples.
"And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,"teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. Matt 28:18-20

Disciple is a Christian who can feed himself and others Spiritual food.
This is done through the practice of 7 Basic Spiritual Disciplines.
One of the 7 Disciplines is Bible Study & Teaching.
#1. A Disciple of Christ is disciplined:
"For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline."	II Tim 1: 7*
A Spiritual Discipline..... is a skill that puts you in a place to hear God and be used by God."
A Spiritual Discipline.....is a habit that puts you in a place to hear God and be used by God."

#2. The 7 Spiritual Disciplines:
1. Journaling: Write down what God is saying to you...what you are saying ...questions ...thoughts...dreams.
Jer 30:2 "Thus speaks the LORD God of Israel, saying: 'Write in a book for yourself all the words that I have spoken to you.

2. Meditation & Confession: Pick a scripture verse ..chew on it, think on it, pray it, Say it.....remember it.
Ps 119: 15 I will meditate on Your precepts, And contemplate Your ways.
16 I will delight myself in Your statutes; I will not forget Your word.
Ro 10:9* that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

3. Bible Study & Teaching: Read the Bible...write down what you find... take notes when others teach......teach what you know.
II Tim 2: 15* Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Ex 4:12 "Now therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say."

4. Prayer, Fasting & Forgiving: Write it down what/who you are praying for. Fast/dedicate special times to pray. Forgive others, so that your prayers are not hindered.
Mt 7:7* "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
Da 9:3 Then I set my face toward the Lord God to make request by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes.
Mt 6:14* "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

5. Giving & Receiving: Sowing and reaping, give Tithes and Offerings..keep a record....sown to whom for what harvest.
Lu 6:38* "Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you."
II Cor 9: 6* "But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully."

6. Personal Ministry: make a plan with God and write it down ....who to serve & how,...who to Tell Good News to & how...
Matt 28:19* "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20* "teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

7. Resting: Make plans to rest.....relax, be with friends...laugh. Rest in/trust in God...be at peace.
Heb 4:9* So there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God. 10* For the one who has entered His rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His.
11* Therefore let us be diligent to enter that rest, so that no one will fall, through following the same example of disobedience.
Ps 37:7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him; ...

These skills are essential for a new Christian to become a Disciple...able to feed self and others.
>>Purchase '7 Spiritual Disciplines' or set up your own notebook with 7 sections corresponding to the 7 Spiritual Disciplines. Practice your disciplines there.
>>More information can be found in '7 Spiritual Disciplines' & 'Disciplemaking Toolbox' available at www.keycentremedia.com.

V. Equipping for Today: Why this strategy ...NOW?
#1. Information alone is counterproductive. Knowledge 'puffs up':
"Now concerning things offered to idols: We know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love edifies. And if anyone thinks that he knows anything, he knows nothing yet as he ought to know. But if anyone loves God, this one is known by Him." I. Cor. 8:1-3

Knowledge without revelation brings pride, arrogance, self dependence, self righteousness...... and God's resistance.
"But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: "God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble." Jas 4:6
Knowledge makes proud, Revelation humbles. God gives grace to the humble.

#2. Information without love/Holy Spirit leads to legalism, abuses, domination, condemnation, and vain traditions, religious repetition, no life, no power:
"Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith, from which some, having strayed, have turned aside to idle talk, desiring to be teachers of the law, understanding neither what they say nor the things which they affirm." I. Tim. 1:5-7

#3. The Kingdom of God is not just words, but Power:
"For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power." I Cor. 4:20

Not a form of religion but the power of God
".....having a form of godliness but denying its power..."2Ti 3:5

#4. The Holy Spirit has things to speak to you and to tell you the things to come:
"However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come." Joh 16:13

Information based strategy leaves Jesus in the past.
Revelation is here and now...and also the past and future.
"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." Heb 13:8

#5. You need revelation to be mobilized for your ministry:
"But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ." Gal 1: 11-12

#6. There is Widespread Revelation today:
"Then the boy Samuel ministered to the LORD before Eli. And the word of the LORD was rare in those days; there was no widespread revelation." 1Sa 3:1

The Word of The Lord is NOT rare today.
God is speaking, moving working today.
 		Revelation is being poured out.

Why have our own School? - KeyChurch Academy

.....for the same reason we do our own missions.

Local church-based training is the ideal. There, the theoretical is never far from the practical. Training has application. There is supervision and mentoring while doing ministry.

 	a. Relationally based vs. institutionally based
 	b. Proper church government
 	c. Connection with local church
 	d. Accountability (short and long term)

In the same way we have found our missions strategy to be both effective and efficient, we will find our own training school to be also.

#1. KeyChurch Academy is our 'seminary', our 'Bible School'.

#2. KeyChurch Academy is our mechanism 'for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry,' ... to train leaders.

>>>By nature a Disciple is a leader. A Disciple feeds himself and others. Making Disciples is making leaders.<<<

#3. KeyChurch Academy is the place we 'send' our leaders and young ones for training.

No Title - What We Believe

We believe..... people do what they really believe!

A simple list of statements which a church says it believes can be inadequate. Actually, people do what they believe.
If they don't do it, then they really don't believe it.
So what we believe is encapsulated in a set of attitudes/actions which we call a Covenant.

This Covenant is how we agree to relate to God and to each other.......is what we really believe.

Keystone Church & Ministries, Inc
  COVENANT
(The Relationship Among Members)

I. Covenant Defined:
A pledge or promise between human parties before God to do something together based on common agreement.

II. Foundation of this Covenant:
The foundation on which this covenant is built is none other than Jesus Christ. This foundation is laid in each individual's life by a commitment to Him as Savior and Lord. (I.Cor. 3:11)

III. Building on that Foundation:
These below specific attitudes make up our covenant relationship and will naturally lead to a variety of acts and ministries.

 	A. Love one another... Put on love, the perfect bond of unity...I.Cor.13 type of love.....Col. 3:14

 	B. Serve one another..... humble yourself & put others first, Phil. 2:3, I.Cor.10:23-24

 	C. Forgive one another....quickly release others, not holding offense. Lu 11:4, Col. 3:13

 	F. Encourage/exhort one another to growth and maturity especially through the practice of our 7 Basic Spiritual Disciplines	Heb.10:24-25, II Tim.1:7

 	G. Be open to one another and to the Holy Spirit. Luke 11:9-13 Mark 10:14-16

 	H. Be accountable to one another... Give and receive correction within Biblical parameters. Gal.6:1, Matt. 18:15-17

 	I. Support the whole Body with/by prayer, tithes and offerings, and service. Eph. 6:18, IICor.8:3-5, 9:7, Gal. 6:2

IV. Purpose of this Covenant Relationship:
That as individuals and as a local church we might be conformed to the image of Jesus Christ in character and ministry. Ro.8:29,
Eph. 5:25-27

#1. A KeyGroup is a regular meeting of 2 or more individuals for friendship and accountability.

KeyGroup members practice The 7 Spiritual Disciplines.

You can't be or make Disciples if not Disciplined!!

It is very difficult to be disciplined without regular accountability & encouragement.

Your KeyGroup partner(s) provide the encouragement you will need.

A KeyGroup is 'the smallest structural unit of a living organism'. The Church/The Body of Christ is made up of many KeyGroups.

The KeyGroup meeting revolves around the 7 disciplines. What was recorded in the journal during the week? What are the prayer needs of each other?

The goal is not the creation of KeyGroups, but the development of individual personal ministries.

Personal Ministry is your tool for disciple making, evangelism, fellowship, pastoral care, training & spiritual gift development.
Personal Ministry leads to the creation and function of healthy KeyGroups. A KeyGroup is a product of someone's Personal Ministry.
