********************************* We have many First Time Guests. We understand it is not easy to come into a new setting, with people you may not know. However, we will work hard to make you feel welcomed and at ease.

The atmosphere of our services is supernatural. It is real, not faked, not religious, not ceremonial. God's presence fills the room. The music is very powerful. Many people are deeply moved. You may see people dancing, kneeling, lifting up their hands, possibly crying, or even shouting. This may be new to you. Don’t worry. You are not expected to do what others around you are doing. But we do encourage you to meet with and respond to God.

Our service begins promptly at 10am.

On the last Sunday of each month we have what we call, "Open House Sunday" which begins at 9:30am. This is a time of coffee and refreshments and allows us the opportunity to get to know our guests better.

If you have children, we have a great Children’s Ministry which begins at 9:55am and a nursery for 0 to 2 years olds.

Our ushers are glad to assist you with any questions.

The Rules:

#1. Don't wait for a special invitation......You are welcomed, invited, needed... now!! Jump in.

#2. It's a family...you'll feel a part when you have something to do, someone depending on you....someone/something you are responsible for.

#3. Serving others is the road to health and happiness. Help someone else and you will be taken care of.

#4. Try something new. Experiment. Take a chance. Risk.

#5. Make a difference. Live for others. Change the World.

(In a majority of Ministries, 'Key Associates' and 'Guests' are invited and welcomed to help, however Covenant Membership is necessary to lead a ministry. See Covenant Membership )

What type of man or woman will see God? - Covenant Breakers

The question we have been exploring for weeks =

What type of man or woman will see God?

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
Mt 5:8

In this series, we have concluded....

#1. A person who 'has ears to hear', open to hear God:

#2. A humble person:

#3. A person who lives in unity with his brothers:

#4. A person of integrity, who keeps their word/covenant:

#5. A person who does not raise his hand against his brother:

#6. A person who is not a fault-finder/accuser of his brother:

Shall see God!!!

We have said...

"Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; Try my mind and my heart."
Ps 26:2*

TODAY....One bit of unfinished business.

Part I = What to DO when someone breaks their word, does not keep
covenant...and walks away?

...Perhaps they ....makes accusations against you, even raises
their hand against you to harm you...and walk away?

How should you think of them?
What should you do?
How should you treat them?

Part II. What to do if they return???

Not what your emotions say
Not what you think is the 'right' thing or 'Christian' thing.

================================================

Part I. What to do when someone breaks their word, does not keep
covenant...walks away?

#1. As much as depends on you, live in peace with all:
Ro 12: 18* If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably
with all men.
> be gracious, settle what you can settle
> take the first step, humble yourself.
> leave the door open for reconciliation.

Mt 5:9* Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God.

#2. Do not seek revenge. Any 'revenge' belongs to God:
Ro 12:19* Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to
wrath; for it is written, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the
Lord.

Heb 10:30* For we know Him who said, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,"
says the Lord. And again, "The LORD will judge His people." 31* It is a
fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

#3. Bless those who curse you. Pray for them.
Ro 12:14* Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.

Cursing Examples:
'Yep, they'll get theirs.'
'I hope the #%@^$*, rots in hell.'

Lu 6:28* "bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully
use you.

Spitefully: 1) to insult
2) to treat abusively, use despitefully
3) to revile, to threaten
4) in a forensic sense, to accuse falsely

Pray for them....
'Lord, bless them.'
'Lord, make them happy.'
'Lord, help them know you.'

#4. Do not 'keep company' with a covenant breaker, as if nothing is
wrong. There is no integrity nor reality in this.

1Co 5: 9* ¶ I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with
sexually immoral people. 10* Yet I certainly did not mean with the
sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or
extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the
world.11* But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone
named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater,
or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner--not even to eat with
such a person.

>You don't hang out with a person calling themselves,
a Christian, who is in sin.

> Pretending that nothing is wrong makes you a hypocrite.

> Pretending nothing is wrong does not help bring them to their senses.

#5. Break unhealthy soul-ties:
I Sam 18: 1* ¶ Now when he had finished speaking to Saul, the soul of
Jonathan was knit to the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his
own soul. 2* Saul took him that day, and would not let him go home to
his father's house anymore. 3* Then Jonathan and David made a covenant,
because he loved him as his own soul.
4* And Jonathan took off the robe that was on him and gave it to
David, with his armor, even to his sword and his bow and his belt.

knit = to tie, physically (gird, confine, compact) or mentally (in love, league)

Examples of Unhealthy soul ties:
anger, bitterness, jealousy,
fear, abuse, violence
seduction, perversion, lust,
sex outside of marriage
unforgiveness, condemnation,
guilt and manipulation.

How to get free...

> Admit/acknowledge/repent of the parts of the relationship that
were unhealthy or outright sin.

> In the Name of Jesus, break that spiritual connection and it's
influence over you, remove it's negative effects.

> Pray and replace the negative affect with specific promises of God.
For example: peace, purity, security.

Another example = I Cor 6: 15-19

#6. 'Shake off the dust' of the relationship and covenant, with a
physical act and proclamation of your mouth:
Mr 6:11* "And whoever will not receive you nor hear you, when you
depart from there, shake off the dust under your feet as a testimony
against them. Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for
Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!"

> This is a powerful prophetic act necessary for your freedom and
God's work in the covenant breakers life.

> This brings closure to the relationship.

"I thank you Lord for ____________. I bless them, but I cut the tie
to them. I am no longer connected to, or under obligation to them. I
shake off the everything that would cling to me from this relationship.
   My conscience is clear.
I am free from this person."

Remember, this is ....
Not according to your emotions..
Not according to your preference, personal best course or action or easiest way,
...... or politically expedient solution.

Instructions:
>>Make a list of the people who have broken covenant with you.

>>Prayerfully, work through your list, ....out loud.
Ask for help if needed.

>>Cry is you need to cry. Mourn if you need to mourn.
Shout if you need to shout.

Part II. What to do when someone breaks their word, does not keep
covenant...walks away?...and then, comes back?

Before receiving them back...

#1. Distinguish between remorse and repentance:
Mt 27:3* Then Judas, His betrayer, seeing that He had been condemned,
was remorseful and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the
chief priests and elders,

Remorse = sorry it happened, felt bad, sorry for the
consequences, but not willing to take any responsibility
for the break.

Repentance = to change one's mind, to think differently, reconsider.
to change one's mind for better, heartily to amend with abhorrence of one's past sins

'How can I distinguish remorse from repentance?'

Before receiving them back...

#2. Look for 'Fruit of Repentance':
Matt 3:5* Then Jerusalem, all Judea, and all the region around the
Jordan went out to him 6* and were baptized by him in the Jordan,
confessing their sins. 7* ¶ But when he saw many of the Pharisees and
Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, "Brood of vipers! Who
warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
8* "Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance,

Fruits worthy = deserving, comparable or suitable

Are they taking this seriously?
Are they trying to laugh it off or down play the significance?
Are they having difficulty saying, 'I was wrong'?
Are they having difficulty saying, 'Forgive me'?

Then....

#3. Quickly, reaffirm love for them:
II Cor 2: 3* And I wrote this very thing to you, lest, when I came, I
should have sorrow over those from whom I ought to have joy, having
confidence in you all that my joy is the joy of you all.
4* For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote to you,
with many tears, not that you should be grieved, but that you might
know the love which I have so abundantly for you. 5* ¶ But if anyone
has caused grief, he has not grieved me, but all of you to some
extent--not to be too severe. 6* This punishment which was inflicted
by the majority is sufficient for such a man, 7* so that, on the
contrary, you ought rather to forgive and comfort him, lest perhaps
such a one be swallowed up with too much sorrow. 8 Therefore I urge you
to reaffirm your love to him.
9* For to this end I also wrote, that I might put you to the test,
whether you are obedient in all things. 10* Now whom you forgive
anything, I also forgive. For if indeed I have forgiven anything, I
have forgiven that one for your sakes in the presence of Christ, 11*
lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his
devices.

#4. A restoration process MAY need to be established and carried
out By spiritually mature people:
Gal 6: 1* Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who
are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering
yourself lest you also be tempted.

Spiritual = non-carnal, one who is filled with & governed by the Spirit of God

Restore = to complete, repair, adjust, fit, frame, mend

A Restoration process may include....

> a time of accountability, counseling, instruction.

> temporary or permanent removal from specific responsibilities.
The tone of the restoration process is gentleness and humility.

God is a covenantal God. He established it and He upholds it.

It's all in the Name - Who we are...

What's in a name?
In the Bible names were considered very important and given with great care. A name was more than a label but was given to convey meaning, character and destiny.

So, let's see what's in the name...
Keystone Church and Ministries, Inc

The keystone was an actual stone that held an archway together. The state of Pennsylvania was considered the keystone state of the original colonies. We are located in Central PA, in the center of Centre County, and our land is considered the most accessible property in the county from recent surveys. We are drawing on the heritage on which William Penn founded Pennsylvania. There may be room there for such a Holy Experiment. For the nations want a precedentAnd my God will Make it the Seed of a Nation. That an example may be set up to the Nations. That we may do the thing That is truly wise and just. William Penn

We believe that our location is key to serving our region, our state, and beyond. We see the archway as representing the church and marketplace into the world.

Church........... What is a church? Is it a building? Is it an organization?

The Bible says, ' you also as living stones are being built together into a spiritual house' I.Peter 2:5

                           Who is the Church?
Bible Definition: 'ekklesia'= 'The Called out ones'

A Church is a group of people with a sense that....
God has called them together for a special purpose.

Pray for our Keystone Centre on our Land
LAND ------DEBT FREE, TABERNACLE, SHIRLEY HEIGHTS, HOTEL

DESIGN---CLARITY, PARTNERS
TIMING--ON GOD'S TIME LINE
VISION----Josh. 1:7 Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.

Neh. 2:18 And I told them of the hand of my God which had been good upon me, and also of the king's words that he had spoken to me.
So they said, "Let us rise up and build." Then they set their hands to this good work.

Neh. 2:19 But when Sanballat the Horonite, Tobiah the Ammonite official, and Geshem the Arab heard of it, they laughed at us and despised us, and said, "What is this thing that you are doing? Will you rebel against the king?"

Neh. 2:20 So I answered them, and said to them, "The God of heaven Himself will prosper us; therefore we His servants will arise and build, but you have no heritage or right or memorial in Jerusalem."

FAVOR
  Pastor Jacque 2/6/09

Our relationships are based on covenant.
A covenant is an agreement, a commitment, a decision... to treat one another a certain way and do certain things.

Our relationships are not based on preference, feelings, emotions, but on commitment.

Covenant commitment is the way to long lasting, healthy, fulfilling, fun relationships.

So....You can be a...

'Guest' of Keystone
You attend some church activity a few times or occasionally.
You are welcomed as our guest.

            'Associate' of Keystone
You regularly participate but have not yet made a Covenant commitment. You are very welcome to be apart as relationships are built, understanding increases and sense of calling by God to Covenant with the Keystone family.
You are welcome to help in a variety of ministries, but not in leadership or decision making.

            'Covenant Member' of Keystone
You know this is your family, you understand the commitment and publicly make Covenant

We believe that we have a mandate to draw from the heritage of our state and region to fulfill the great commission. We live in the Keystone State, in the centre region, and we own land in the very center of Centre County.

William Penn's Vision for the land of Pennsylvania ...

"There may be room there for such a Holy Experiment.
For the Nations want a precedent and my God will Make it the Seed of a Nation.
That an example may be set up to the Nations. That we may do the thing that is truly wise and just."
–William Penn

And that Jesus said ...

Matt. 28:18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

    Make-up & Focus

...Made up of people of different color, language, and culture... all who have love for Jesus

...With a focus to reach the Nations through Missions, relief work, and church planting

IV. Keystone Church=The type of church we want to become.
What would a local church look like which attempted to fulfill the mandate given by Jesus to reach all people, all nations? Do we have a model of this type of church in the Bible?? Yes...

Keystone...a brief history - Our Story

January 3, 1988, a group of a dozen adults, Penn State Students and children began to have Sunday morning worship in the home of Perry and Jacque Babb. This was the beginning of Keystone Church, initially known as 'Church of The Harvest' and most recently as Antioch International Church.

The Babbs had worked at PSU as Campus Ministers for 8 years. During those years, a plan formulated for an unconventional type of community church. This new church would be built without the limitations of tradition, preference or culture, but designed biblically and strategically for the hour, as God would lead.

This plan developed into a model for other new churches and is characterized by supernatural experiences with God, 'signs and wonders', miracles, the Presence of God along with honest, genuine relationships between people with integrity, spontaneity, covenant community and a sense that every individual has a profound destiny and can be used by God to bring His Kingdom in every area of life.

During the first 10 years, substantial ministry was developed outside the United States. The church had become 'international' in focus. A global consciousness developed into a global ministry effecting more than a dozen nations. These changes required a name change reflecting the broader vision. The new vision was contained in the name, Antioch International Church. It was the type of church which was and still is based on 10 characteristics of the Antioch Church of the Bible. The international focus and make up of the church remains today. 'Church' meaning, 'a group called together for a special purpose'. We believe that the church is more than a building and that we are called to serve in our homes, professions, and everywhere our feet tread.

During the time as Antioch International Church, a number of churches and ministries developed. Some examples include SOZO Institute of the Arts, Joshua House (an 'at risk kids' youth center and community centre in Tyrone, Pa established by Mayor/Pastors Jim and Jess Kilmartin) and more than a half dozen churches in Eastern Europe, orphanages in Belize and Rwanda, national youth conferences in Bosnia, English language instruction to poor children in Taiwan, leadership training in Asia, Guatemala, and Bulgaria, business seminars and medical clinics in Eastern Europe.

In November of 2002, 20 acres were purchased on College Ave. In State College, for the construction of Keystone Centre, a complex to minister to the Spirit, Soul and Body including a worship, training, and global ministry administration center as well as art, medical and professional centers. (For details, click 'Keystone Centre'.)

In November 2007, we became affiliated with Bishop Bart Pierce and Rock City Church Fellowship in Baltimore, MD.

In May 2008, Antioch International Church changed it's name to Keystone Church and Ministries, Inc. which we believe ties us into the heritage of our state and nation's call to the nations.

Keystone Church & Ministries, INC

Missions Strategy, History & Future

As outlined under 'Keystone Church & Ministries, INC...Who we are.', our vision is to be a Church with International focus and reach. Since October, 1992, with our first efforts in ministry outside the U.S., God has accomplished some remarkable things through us. Many churches have been built, relief centers established, business begun, projects undertaken. Food, medicines, trucks, buildings, books, bicycles, livestock and much more have been purchased. Medical teams, construction teams, leadership development teams, economic development teams and church plant teams have been sent. We have come to understand that God will use regular people, who trust and obey Him to relieve great suffering, care for the homeless, plan for the future, effect a nation. God has opened many doors to us in many nations. We are honored to serve Him and amazed at the work of His Hand.

Our primary strategy has been to find and work with indigenous national leaders. We encourage them, train them and support them financially, assist them in the fulfillment of their God-given vision.

This is a whole church effort. Everyone is involved in prayer, in giving and more and more in going. We have come to understand that God loves to world and is drawing to himself a people out of 'every tribe, tongue and nation'. We have an obligation. We want to do our part.

Why have our own School? - Keystone Academy

.....for the same reason we do our own missions.

Local church-based training is the ideal. There, the theoretical is never far from the practical. Training has application. There is supervision and mentoring while doing ministry.

 	a. Relationally based vs. institutionally based
 	b. Proper church government
 	c. Connection with local church
 	d. Accountability (short and long term)

In the same way we have found our missions strategy to be both effective and efficient, we will find our own training school to be also.

#1. Keystone Academy is our 'seminary', our 'Bible School'.

#2. Keystone Academy is our mechanism 'for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry,' ... to train leaders.

>>>By nature a Disciple is a leader. A Disciple feeds himself and others. Making Disciples is making leaders.<<<

#3. Keystone Academy is the place we 'send' our leaders and young ones for training.

Key Group members practice 7 Spiritual Disciplines.

You can't be or make Disciples if not Disciplined!!

It is very difficult to be disciplined without regular accountability & encouragement.

Your Key Group partner(s) provide the encouragement you will need.

================

Accountability Questions...

Use these in your cell for accountibility & encouragement.

This week....

(1. Have you kept your journal this week? Have you spent some time in all 7 Basic Spiritual Disciplines?

(2. Have you worked in your personal disciple making ministry?

(3. Is there anyone you have offended or who has offended you whom you have not sought to be in harmony with?

(4. Sexual purity? Have you been exposed to or thought about sexually explicit material?...allowed self to indulge in sexual/romantic fantasies? ...been with a woman/man anywhere that might be seen as inappropriate?

(5. Have you shown love/spent time with your spouse /family?..been real with, wholesome speech to, healthy intimacy with spouse?

(6. Have your insecurities affected your behavior? ..competing, debating, defensiveness, slander, 'fear of man', trying to be something you are not?

(7. Are your finances in order; tithes & offerings, debt, taxes, integrity?

(8. Truthful? Do you keep your word,... show up on time? exaggerate? Have you been honest about these questions?

Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. (James 5:16).

Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. (Gal. 6:1)

The Parents are ultimately responsible for the Spiritual health of their children.

Where possible, this responsibility must always remain with the parent(s).
 	a. Parents of kid's in Kid's Ministry should be assigned Teacher for follow up, accessment and discipleship.
 	b. Parents should be brought into and kept in the loop of Keystone's part in the Spiritual Training of their kids.
